The city of Perth is located on Australia's western-coast
and is the capital of Western Australia. Without a doubt,
Perth is the hub of the vast western-region, and is a modern,
thriving city. The local atmosphere is pleasantly laid-back
'Australian,' and the city's attractive bayside environs add
to the charm.
Despite its remote location, you're unlikely to feel marooned
in Perth; it's a very cosmopolitan city with lots to offer
the visiting student. All the usual urban amenities can be
found here, from shopping and cafés, to museums and
nightclubs for your time-off. Perth is easy to get around
in using public transport, and it's also known as a 'bike-friendly'
city. If you fancy a trip into the great-outdoors, there are
lots of recreational and sightseeing opportunities: surfing,
plenty of sailing, and some great beaches for your sunbathing
needs. For a true 'bushwalking' experience, venture into the
rainforests of one of the National Parks in the Perth region,
or visit a wildlife reserve.
